A Remote Online Notary is a Florida Notary Public who is authorized to perform notarizations online using audio-video technology instead of meeting the signer in person.
What is required to become a Remote Online Notary (RON) in Florida?
To become a RON in Florida, you must:
Already be appointed as a Florida Notary.
Complete a 2-hour RON course.
Obtain additional $25,000 Notary Bond coverage and a minimum of $25,000 E&O Insurance.
Select a state-approved RON service provider
Submit a RON registration to the state
